Talent Analysis

Dalpe is an Offensive forward who thrives on scoring goals. He is especially lethal on the power play, where his accurate shot and offensive instincts allow him to create. He is still a bit raw but made a seemless transition from college hockey to the AHL in 2009-10.
Future

Dalpe will be in camp with the Hurricanes this year and is eager to begin his NHL career, foregoing his final two years of college hockey at Ohio State to sign with Carolina last spring. He projects to being a top-six forward with some scoring ability but will likely spend some time at the AHL level while he matures physically and develops a more well-rounded game.
