A talented two-way winger, Puempel is a dangerous with the puck and not afraid to play in high-traffic areas of the ice.

Talent Analysis
Puempel has high-end finishing skills and exceptional vision which complement his natural knack for scoring. There is mild concern about his chipped hip bone suffered last season which should be alleviated with a healthy season. His passing skills and willingness to get to the scoring areas are underrated plus he has the ability to make his line-mates better. Improved skating, strength and intensity should enable him to move up to the next level.

Future
Expected to be one of the team leaders in Peterborough this season, he’ll be looked upon to have a consistent effort game in game out while targeting key aspects of his overall game for improvement. A good first half of the season could earn him a position on the Team Canada WJHC squad.
